All printing and design is done onsite in a small town in Upstate New York State (USA).
Instead of employing traditional screen printing methods, they print their own designs digitally. Using water based pigment dyes, the designs are printed directly onto the fabric. Pigment dyed simply means that the printer lays ink down on the surface of the fabric, much like the conventional inkjet printers you find in the home or office - just supersized! The benefit is that they can achieve a very high level of detail in the fabric designs.
The hand of digitally printed fabrics can be slightly odd at first, but wash up beautifully and have a much better drape and feel after the first wash.
The Manufacturer recommends pre-washing the fabric before using it will give better results.
